at Humanology, we have Worked with Vets and medical practitioners from all over the world for over a decade but, this year 2023, fortis vets (aka HUMANOLOGY’S big brother) are taking a different approach into the research findings of our beloved HUMAN ANIMAL BOND project
We are used to pulling in quantitative statistical data and within the fields we work in, that makes sense but, when you’re looking at something as widely intricate and profoundly interpersonal as ‘THE HUMAN ANIMAL BOND’, you cannot only rely on black and white stats because the history of man and animal dates back to the very beginning of our time here and the stories shared are not always open to scientific or technical reach and the tales they tell us are impossible to input into spreadsheet cells. Why is this? Well, it is because they are stories of heart, soul and emotion. A connection so deeply interwoven you simply cannot quantify that.
So it is our intention to provide you with the ‘OTHER SIDE’ of the HUMAN ANIMAL BOND research pool and collect, select and extract QUALITATIVE data, through stories, tales and memoirs of our entire life together as a human animal collective here on realm Earth.
And in honour of our involvement with ONE HEALTH related concepts, that same rule applies. Where there is science, there must also be spirit. Where there is quantitative there must also be qualitative. Where there is black and white, there must also be colour!
So this is the ‘STORY OF US’, broadcasted here and openly available to every single person that would like to follow along the way by means of posts, features, collections and books that we write ourselves, share from contributors and our network and via podcasts and vlogs hosted by our podcast series ‘HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE’ Where the voices can come from philosophers, psychologists, anthropologists, historians, theologians, artists, poets, wildlife conservationists, biologists and more all with the intention of gaining a FULL 360 perspective on the entire concept of THE HUMAN ANIMAL BOND.
We are going to go deep and we want YOU to all get involved along the way because this story doesn’t just belong to the vets and nurses or companies funding research and calling the shots, it belongs to us all
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Our objectives within this research project are to establish qualitative research insights from a ‘NON CLINICAL angle’ within the framework of HUMAN ANIMAL BOND interfaces. Instead, we look to collect data that speaks about the emotional, spiritual, mental, somatic, historic, anthropological and deeply intuitive connections that arise from within the inner and intertwined worlds of human and animal bonds and how the responses and findings speak about the health of all of us across the collective in ways that quantitative, clinical and technical data cannot reach.
