I AM MY NATION
A little low down on the concept of National Identity via audio – Have a listen

π Why are we born into the place we are born?
π What makes a land home to us?
π What is patriotism?
π What is Nationalism?
π Should we only care for the land we are born into or can we extend ourselves further?
π What does it mean to have roots and wings?
π Would you fight to protect your Nation?
π Would you fight to protect another?
π If you could live anywhere, where would that be?
π Do you feel proud of where you’re from?
π Do you love your fellow brothers and sisters?
π Will you die in the land from whence you came?
π Where is home?

In a world where every country is uniquely different, where you’re from, the lands you were born into are a part of you. But not everybody stays in the lands that they were born. Not everybody is born in lands from where their ancestors came from, nor their ancestors in lands theirs came from either
One thing we know for sure is that since the beginning of Humankind, man has moved. The channels of migration have such rich stories of our human movement and our social, cultural and indigenous connections that we still carry to this day and for all of us, HOME and where we come from will have a very different meaning
In these times where due to political history, war and conflict it is so easy to say ‘GO BACK TO WHERE YOU COME FROM‘ when the turmoil starts to boil and in part, it’s understandable for man to want to protect his heritage and land but, where do any of us really come from?
