THE TALE OF APHRODITE AND ME

So, I am from the fields of Yorkshire but, in 2021 my family and I relocated to Paphos, Cyprus and have since taken residence on the shores of the birthplace of our beloved deity, Aphrodite

I have always had a fondness of the quest and query of Aphrodite, to the point that when my eldest was born back in late September 2009, the very month that honours Venus (roman equivalent of Aphrodite) we decided to call her Tahlia. Tahlia (meaning blooming or to bloom / lovely) being the name of one of the nine muses (also spelled Thaleia), she is known as the goddess of comedy, poetry and liberal arts. Together, Aphrodite and the Muses intertwine to create a rich tapestry of inspiration that has influenced countless artists throughout history. Well, if you only knew my Tahlia! Comedian in the making! Quite the introvert, her humor is unassuming but my goodness when she brings it out…..HILARIOUS!

Anyway, here we are, on the Island of love and the energy of Aphrodite / Venus has captured me! So much so that it has taken me DEEP on a journey both intra-personally and collectively on the very question of WHAT IS LOVE?

I have gone into spaces and places I never knew I would visit on my quest to find these answers. Orthodox churches, mountains, oceans, sex parties (I don’t participate but) and have made friends over the last few years with many from illicit backgrounds with their tales of love and sex that have filled me with…..YES, more questions!

And in asking more questions in the hope to find more answers, I discovered a secret from the Goddess of love herself! If you want to know what the secret is, you will have to read the book and once you know, please keep it to yourself for there is a reason why it’s a secret!

But I hope you love the journey! It is a never ending saga, unfolding webs and weaves of kink, purity, divinity, sacred union, destroying old beliefs and ways to create new ones –
