WHO WE ARE

Formed through the combined academic vision of IIG, GBS, and Lausanne University partnerships, this educational pathway represents a modern model of independent Swiss international education — designed for students seeking global relevance, academic flexibility, and real-world international exposure

This is education designed for an increasingly international generation — one that values adaptability, cross-cultural understanding, and globally recognised qualifications without losing the close academic support and international community that independent institutions can uniquely provide.

WHY STUDY WITH US?

IIG operates as a private higher education institution in Geneva and partners with the University of Plymouth in the UK for the accredited degree pathway. The University of Plymouth is a recognised British public university with internationally respected degree-awarding powers. Through this partnership, students have the opportunity to graduate with a UK-awarded honours degree alongside their IIG qualification.

This means students benefit from:
• The personalised, international learning environment of a boutique Geneva institution
• The global recognition and academic standards associated with a UK university pathway
• A multidisciplinary profile combining diplomacy, politics, economics, leadership, and business management
• International mobility for future postgraduate studies and employment opportunities

THE ONLY INSTITUTION TO HAVE AN EMBEDDED GUARANTEED INTERNSHIP

What makes our program especially attractive is the international ecosystem students become part of. We are the only institute right now that has an obligatory UNITED NATIONS internship included in our Bachelor and Master programs. Geneva is home to major global institutions including the United Nations, WTO, WHO, Red Cross, diplomatic missions, NGOs, multinational corporations, and policy think tanks. Students are not simply studying international relations in theory — they are immersed in the environment where global diplomacy, humanitarian action, and international business actually happen.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

At the International Institute in Geneva (IIG), we offer something genuinely unique: the opportunity to study in one of the world’s diplomatic capitals while graduating with two internationally valuable degrees in just three years.

Students earn:
• A BA in International Relations from IIG in Geneva
• A BSc (Hons) in Business Management awarded through the University of Plymouth pathway in the United Kingdom

This dual-degree structure gives students both specialised international relations expertise and globally recognised business credentials — an increasingly powerful combination in today’s competitive international job market.

CHOSE YOUR OWN STUDY PATHWAY AND LOCATION

For many students, this is not simply a degree — it is an investment in an international career identity.

The tuition structure reflects the dual-value proposition:

  • IIG Genvea semester tuition: 15,950 CHF
  • IIG Barcelona / Madrid semester tuition: 9,550 EUR
  • University of Plymouth Pathway fee: 9,000 GBP

Rather than paying for two separate university experiences over additional years, students can complete both qualifications simultaneously within one integrated program in Geneva and across various different EU campuses. GREAT for IR students to get multi-cultural exposure

CAREER PATHWAYS PRESENTATION – WHAT YOU CAN DO POSTGRAD WITH AN IR DEGREE

Graduates position themselves strongly for careers in:
Diplomacy and international organisations
• International business and management
• NGOs and humanitarian sectors
• Political consulting and policy analysis
• Global communications and public affairs
• International law or postgraduate study pathways

Ultimately, students are choosing more than a classroom education. They are choosing:
• International exposure
• Cross-cultural networks
• Academic versatility
• A prestigious multi-location experience between Barcelona, Madrid and Geneva
• And two complementary degrees that broaden career opportunities worldwide

In today’s world, employers increasingly look for graduates who understand both global politics and business strategy. Our programs are designed specifically for that future.
