COTTAGE PIE AND CABBAGE

Sometimes making meals that have a ‘title’ a huge list of ingredients and a method to follow can be an intimidating thing throughout the winter months when everyone’s just that bit more tired and unenthused but, then you prep the meal, it wasn’t all that hard and you’re bloody pleased you did because it is EXACTLY what you needed in every sense!

Well, cottage pie is one of those recipes, especially with our added secret ingredients and salted butter cabbage on the side! Just imagine: You’ve just lit a crackling fire. You’ve put on your warm, cosy socks, some lovely soothing music in the background – The smell of this dish wafting through your house and the night sky falling over you like a blanket as you pull a blanket up and get comfy on the couch, candles lit, the steam from your hot dish of cottage pie reaching your face as you tuck in. Every mouthful a hearty reminder about why we love winter and how good it is for us to settle back into the slow months and unwind with a good bowl of something that takes all evening to eat. What’s the rush? Except that it’s always best served steaming hot
